I have a particular interest in cases where there is a relationship or partnership involved with a New Zealand citizen or resident, as well as when applicants do not meet character requirements, or when there is a need to provide answers to potential prejudicial information. However, in general I deal with all kinds of applications, from Student Visas and Permits, as well as Work and Resident Permits and Visa application. Last but not least, most of the time, I will be taking your Telephone Consultations.

As per my background, I have studies in Law and Social and Political Sciences and I am a qualified Legal Executive. Currently, I am completing Postgraduate Studies in Business Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution at Massey University and working towards graded membership with the Arbitrators and Mediators Institute of New Zealand. In the area of Alternative Dispute Resolution, I act as a mediator or an advocate for parties involving commercial disputes. I am fluent in English and Spanish.

In the years prior to becoming fully involved in the immigration area, I worked as an Interpreter and Translator; International Education Adviser; E-business development and implementation and the like. I love travelling and I have been to many different places around the world such as Australia, USA, South America, Pacific Islands, South East Asia and of course, our precious New Zealand. One of the things that I like the most about being an Immigration Adviser is the opportunity I have to meet people from nearly every country in the world. I come from a Trade background so I really understand the Skilled migrant category and different trades associated with it. In 2004 I completed a COP in Immigration Law and Practise from Massey University and now I am studying a Grad diploma in Business studies endorsing Dispute Resolution.

I have lived in many countries over the years including Australia, United Kingdom, United States and in South America  as well as visiting many more in Europe, Asia, the Pacific and North and South America. This gives me an insight what it is like to be a new migrant in a new country and also an understanding of different cultures and customs. This is the one thing I love the most about working for Neilson Immigration, the new people from all walks of life and from every corner of the globe that I get to know and many have become friends.
